A temperamental administrative manager had just given the stores officer a thorough dressing down, calling him a bloody fool several times. After the stores officer had left, the manager told his newly employed messenger who witnessed the dressing down: “Now, go to the store and get me the foolscap”.


The messenger went over to the store and told the humiliated stores officer: “It seems the boss is not satisfied with calling you a bloody fool. Now, he wants your cap”.
