A pickpocket was passing by a rally organized to mark the Workers’ Day. Suddenly, he heard the mammoth crowd yelling ‘Comrade! Comrade!’ each time the labour leader on the podium made some radical remarks. He promptly answered the call but was caught trying to pinch a worker’s purse. As angry rally men and women descended on him, he was heard saying: “Please deal gently with me. What did you people mean by come raid? Come raid?”
