Blazing Gunners, ruthless Villians for FA Cup Final war

Arsenal will be making a record 19th FA Cup final appearance following their extra time 2-1 overrunning of ambitious Reading. The Gunners had Alexis Sanchez to thank after the Chilean netted twice to prevent an FA Cup semi-final upset. They will take on Aston Villa, whose resurgence continued also with a 2-1 win over Liverpool. The Reds had taken the lead through PFA Player of the year nominee Philippe Coutinho but Villa fought back, leveled up and snatched victory through the in-form Christian Benteke and Fabian Delph.

On 30th May, Arsenal will take on Villa, a team they have already nutmeged 3 - 0 and 5 -0 this season, back when Paul Lambert was in charge. Villa boss Tim Sherwood his said his side are undoubtedly the underdogs going into the fixture. However, they have played each other 190 times in their history, with the Gunners winning 66 of those, Villa winning 79 and the other 45 ending in draws. The Villains have won the Cup seven times, with their last triumph coming in 1957. They have been runners up three times in 1892, 1924, 2000.

The Gunners on the other hand will be making a 19th final appearance, winning 11 of those. They have also been runners up seven times, the last being in 2001.

Arsenal will be the hot favorites, but Villa are known to cause a lot of upsets. It is a game to look forward to, with the Gunners having their eyes on a record 12th FA Cup title.
